Celebrating New Milestone, Dispelling Misinformation
Posted by: Lilith Delcroix, One Nation Under Jou
Date: Year 25 Day 82 Onboard the Victory I-class Star Destroyer ON Triumph of Vigo Jou in system Morobe (91, -1).

Morobe - Greetings, this is Rannah Lecyllath reporting for the Royal News Network. In recent weeks One Nation Under Jou, Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Northern Separatist States have celebrated a milestone in their social and economic partnership.

Rannah Lecyllath reporting on CIS fleet

One Nation has been affiliated with Confederate partners since Year 22, and in early Year 24 our kingdom has entered into a mutually beneficial agreement with the politically aligned government. Together we have brought healthcare improvements across our combined territories and saw economical and social growth, especially in the northern territories which have fully developed their cultural identity throughout the twenty-fourth year.

One of the initial goals of the partnership was recently achieved with the establishment of a permanent Confederate naval base in the Morobe system, and the recent arrival of the Confederate Task Force Fleet became a cause for celebration.

The heads of states had this to say about the achievement:

Lilith Delcroix and Truse'vala'ilone

"To seek out betterment of worlds is the cornerstone of our faith. Through the grace of Jou we aim to be a beacon of hope, and I fully believe by cooperating with those who also believe in peace and prosperity we will achieve better worlds. Unfortunately, we live in a galaxy torn by war and we cannot rely on faith alone to protect us. The Confederate Task Force will not only strengthen the partnership between the Confederacy and our nation, but provide faster response time to any distress in the north or south. I am looking forward to the years ahead and witnessing our allied systems to grow in prosperity." - Lilith of Vorsia

"The system of Morobe is a vital link for many travellers, whether they be traders selling goods and services, pilgrims passing through or bounty hunters looking for work, importantly it also is a vital link between our northern and southern territories. The Confederacy has always promoted free trade and as a partner of our government, we find it necessary to deploy a task force to the region to assist in promoting stability and security against all forms of hostile activity." - Magistrate Truse'vala'ilone

The arrival of the task force fleet coincided with the claims of turmoil in the Morobe sector made by some on the Galactic News Service, but those claims were not the cause for the fleet to be dispatched. To address these claims and to put the minds of our citizens at ease our network has reached out to the Monarch of One Nation for a comment but the Office of Countess Delcroix responded that if Her Lordship were to comment on every petty crime and claim, she would have no time for anything else. However, a spokesperson from the Illumine Palace has been made available to answer our questions.

Is the Morobe sector in turmoil?

"Certainly not. The presence of Son-tuul has little to no impact on the sector or our system. There was a temporary disruption in sales for the Scrapper Guild when Son-tuul displayed their cowardice by attacking an unarmed merchant, however sales in the affected depot have resumed in less than twenty-four hours. It was inevitable that the prosperity of the Morobe system would eventually attract the less fortunate elements of the galactic society."

Have there been covert attacks on One Nation's hidden outposts?

"We are aware that Mr Shalas has visited the cave system on our asteroid designated 24-V-234 Tau, which at the time was freely accessible. It is not a hidden outpost, as anyone can see on the Chronicle records the asteroid has been public information for over six months. We can only speculate why Mr Shalas would masquerade his spelunking hobby as covert attacks. The evident need to exaggerate his activities leads us to believe Mr Shalas is desperate to maintain relevance within his social sphere. His ambitions are certainly larger than his competence."

Bork Shalas spelunking

Last question, has the federal government of One Nation been deliberately silent on this subject?

"Not deliberately, no. Crime is an unfortunate fact of life, it cannot be eradicated. The Combat Alley hyperlanes connected to the Petabys Conflict Zone have brought more criminal activity to the sector than the Son-tuul upstarts could ever hope to achieve. Our government is not concerned with the alleged criminal activity in deep space as we do not claim jurisdiction in the sector outside of our system, and have never done so. It is the Galactic Empire that makes claim to the sector. However, we do advise all travellers and merchant fleets to avoid the southern asteroid fields at galactic coordinates 95,-3 where the Son-tuul group operates from."

While the criminal groups are not a concern for our government, they have attracted the attention of psychologist Dr. McNeil of the Noble Institute for Mental Wellness. He has been fascinated by the recent claims for research purposes, and offered his hypothesis.

Dr. McNeil speaking

"I believe the real enemy of Mr Shalas is mental health. No civilised sentient culture can justify attacks on unarmed civilians. This kind of rage against civilisation and prosperity is a symptom of an undeveloped psyche. Many sentients in the galaxy are unfortunate to be born into poverty on wartorn worlds and are raised without proper values. Which leads many of them to become criminals. We believe Mr Shalas is a victim of this poor upbringing and would be happy to assist him should he wish to submit himself to therapy in our asylum, so that one day he could become a peaceful and functional citizen of the galaxy."

There you have it folks, don't believe everything you read on the HoloNet. The Morobe sector is not in turmoil, supplies are not disrupted and One Nation Under Jou continues to prosper.

This is Rannah Lecyllath of the Royal News Network signing off; take care and may Jou guide you towards better worlds!
