CORRUPTION IN THE PENTASTAR ALIGNMENT

Recently Vanguard Network has launched an investigation into The Pentastar Alignment, also known as TPA.

At the heart of this unfolding scandal lies a series of backroom negotiations between Moff Dane Star and two notorious entities: The Restored Empire (TRE) and the infamous Eyttyrmin Batiiv (EB) Pirates. What initially appeared as diplomatic maneuvers on behalf of TPA soon revealed a darker truth — Moff Star's clandestine agenda to serve his own interests at the expense of his allegiance to TPA.

Rejecting an offer of alliance with TRE on behalf of The Pentastar Alignment (TPA), Moff Star subsequently ventured into murky waters by engaging in negotiations with TRE independently, despite The Pentastar Alignment’s Moff Council’s near-unanimous vote against.

Shockingly, transcripts of these discussions obtained by the Vanguard Network reveal Moff Star's gleeful satisfaction at witnessing the discomfort of the Galactic Empire (GE), yet also admitting TPA’s vested interest in gaining favor with them, indicating a disturbing disregard for diplomatic norms.

The Vanguard Network submits the following exclusive audio, obtained for its viewers:

An audio file begins to play, the subtle rustling of fabric can be heard before a voice begins to speak.

[Moff Star]: "Now then. Everything further is strictly off the record.... the council won't know about anything that happens from this point forward."

[Lord Admiral Hoorl]: "I see, It's unfortunate that your council voted as it did, but my intelligence analysts informed me that would likely be the case."

[Moff Star]: "To be blunt. We value our neutrality. But now that we can speak freely... " Subtle movement can be heard. "What can I do to help? I've discussed this somewhat with Tel.... I'd like to be involved... with... or without TPA... "

[Moff Star CONT.]: “I’m not taking a side. I see the potential for something mutually beneficial here. [INAUDIBLE AUDIO] I don’t have to share power…I choose too. If that makes sense?"

[Moff Star CONT.]: The voice pauses before speaking again. "To be blunt. I think it was hilarious watching the Empire squirm... the main difference between you and I is that I didn't start my life as an Imperial."

The audio file stops playing and the reporter continues speaking.

On top of negotiating with the enemies of the Galactic Empire, Moff Star has also seemingly developed a working relationship with the Eyttyrmin Batiiv Pirates.

Despite the previous financial harm inflicted upon TPA by the EB Pirates, Moff Star's frequent visits to Port Haven suggest a disturbing affinity for this den of iniquity. In a suspicious turn of events, it has come to light that Moff Star, far from shunning the EB Pirates following their ransom of TPA ships and technology, has actively sought to cultivate relationships with them.

What should be alarming to the TPA is Moff Star's purchase of stolen ships from EB, as evidenced by his involvement in the aftermath of the GCS raid conducted by the pirate crew. Moff Star's frequent visits to Port Haven suggest a deeper connection beyond mere business interests. One report even suggests that EB’s creation might have been assisted by Moff Star as a means for the Moff to oversee an off-the-books fleet, separate from TPA, in an effort to circumvent the Moff Council in the event of any potential internal disputes.

Also concerning is Moff Star's dubious attempts to influence TPA's policies, including his efforts to remove Admiral Rask from the TPA ban list. Such actions raise serious questions about Moff Star's true intentions and allegiances.

Adding another layer of intrigue is Moff Star's relationship with a mysterious Twi'lek woman, purportedly gifted to him by EB’s Admiral Rask himself. This woman, Danai Eyan, was once an escort for EB working closely with Admiral Krodo Rask and associates. Speculation abounds regarding her true identity and motives, with some people left contemplating if she serves as a source of intelligence gathering for EB regarding the inner workings of TPA.

The timeline of events paints a damning picture of Moff Star's character, with his interactions with the EB Pirates occurring after the ransom of TPA ships. This raises a couple of crucial questions:

  • Why would Moff Star continue to engage in business with those who have harmed TPA's interests?
  • Does the Moff actually represent TPA and their values? If so, what does his willingness to negotiate with the enemies of the GE mean for future negotiations with the GE?

To quote Chapter 12 of Grander Moff Anubis Hothyck’s book: "The Opportunistic Genius does not wait for opportunities to rise the [sic] ranks of the administration; they create them, or at least create the illusion of doing so. With a blend of strategic positioning, ambiguous language, idea hijacking, and blame dodging, you can elevate yourself to a position of respect and admiration. Remember, in the race for recognition, it's not about what you do; it’s about what others think you’ve done."

It would appear that Moff Dane Star has taken to heart Grander Moff Hothyck’s teachings. Is he The Opportunistic Genius who has fooled all of TPA while amassing power and connections in the galactic underworld?

When informed about the situation and asked for comment, Grander Moff Anubis Hothyck emphasized the importance of loyalty, “We encourage the values of loyalty and honour towards the leader and the wider alignment.”

As the shadows of corruption deepen, doubts linger about Moff Star's loyalty and honor, and whether he genuinely has TPA's best interests at heart. For a faction that claims political neutrality, it’s clear that TPA is unable to remain truly neutral as long as Moff Dane Star is involved in their political dealings.
