Welcome to the Galactic News Service
Welcome to Arvala
Hacked by: Eli Descartes, The Resistance
Date: Year 25 Day 184 Onboard the Lucrehulk-class Battleship RMS Harmony in system Arvala (330, -260).

Resistance News Network (Arvala) – Residents of the newly colonized Arvala system gathered on Arvala-6 today to begin a weeklong celebration, christened the ‘Freedom Festival’, in honor of the constituent planets electing their inaugural governments. Featuring popular galactic games such as ‘whack-a-stormtrooper’ and ‘pin the tail on the pit droid’, the festival has already become a firm favorite with new residents, as well as tourists to the idyllic system which is under the safety and security of both alliance and neutral organizations.

Unusually, the event has also found fame with some of the more unsavory characters in the Galaxy. Unpredictable as always, the so-called Shadow Dominion is said to have descended upon Arvala-6 en masse, quickly depleting the local supplies of ‘jupoberry floss’, a sweet cloud-like confectionary made using fruit native to Arvala-3.

Local residents report seeing none other than Ximaro Jix, ‘giggling with glee’ as he rode the largest carousel wheel in the southern Outer Rim. The impressive Sullust Strangler’ is over 50 meters high and has recorded up to +1.2G exerted on the sentient body in transit. When pressed for comment, the inebriated Jix had this to say: “Everybody is fun, Zann just pretends to be otherwise.”

The first day’s festivities concluded with a drone-shooting competition, with scuttled satellites being used as target practice for a variety of budding young pilots. A disappointment for many, critically acclaimed fan-favorites, Linkin Bark, were forced to pull out of a live show at the last minute due to recent events in Bright Jewel - instead being replaced by local cover band, Linkin Bork.

The show’s climax was a spectacle to behold, with the crowd hanging on every word of the star-struck stand-ins.

’Zann tried so hard, and came so far’
‘In the end, they didn’t even matter…’
