The Universal Energy Cage emits a powerful containment field preventing the unlucky captive from doing much of anything besides thought. Through a process incorporating the biological techniques of Ysalamiri, the cage field prevents external force acts such as telepathy and telekinesis. The only way to deactivate the energy field is through energy depletion, the external coded keypad or destruction of the device and its contents. The containment field runs off self-contained cells which are isolated, along with the other electronic components, from the captive and the outside world by a subdivision of the energy barrier.
