The Balta-Trabaat BT-310 is a podracer, commonly referred to as the Quadra-Podracer due to its unusual quad-engine design. The four engine design offers high top speeds at the cost of lowered acceleration. It also allows the podracer to continue operating, should one of its engines fail. Each engine has a separate fuel tank, located mid-way down each engine, allowing for continued motion if a problem arises in any of the tanks. The BT310's highly unreliable design required the engines to be connected to the cockpit via quad-control cables and to each other using a pair of energy binders. This uses a great deal of power and requires that the speeder be given continuous upkeep and attention.
