The Senate Shuttlebus (SSB), produced en masse during the rise and prosperity of the Jedi Order, is nothing more than a memory today. However, at one time it was used to convey various Jedi, senate members and other important dignitaries across the many different levels of Coruscant.

The SSB is designed to give the passenger the best experience possible. Its amenities include a transparisteel canopy to allow riders a 360 degree view and sports soft seats made from imported goods from far away planets. The SSB, although unarmed, is usually escorted by an array of fighters.

After the fall of the Jedi Order the SSB was discontinued and replaced by the newer Lambda-class shuttles, which proved a better form of transportation due to their speed and ability to defend themselves. The shuttlebus is now currently a collector's item and a remembrance of the important members it used to convey.
