The Techno Union used to be a large coalition of high technology firms. Formed primarily of heavy manufacturing concerns, the Techno Union lobbied the Republic Senate on behalf of its members' interests and attempted to ensure fair commerce between its members. In time, the Techno Union would grow to include galactic vehicle construction magnates to further ensure the free flow of goods.

The modern day Techno Union is much different from its previous life. It now focuses solely on the production of vehicles and since its rebirth has become the spearhead of the Trade Federation's ground transport production. No longer in the private sector, the Techno Union now focuses on production of the Trade Federation's powerful attack tanks, as well as civil craft for prospecting and recycling purposes.

Once again, the Techno Union has gone through some changes and periods of downtime since its inception, but with the recent changes the Techno Union is helping ensure a brighter future for the Trade Federation.
