Total Outer Rim is one of the largest industrial and resource powers in the Outer Rim Territories, controlling a vast network of strategically important worlds stretching from the rich shipyards of Eriadu to the frozen mines of Hoth, the gas extraction platforms of Bespin, giant mining and manufacturing complex of Svivren, and the volcanic foundries of Mustafar. Its prosperity is built upon three pillars: resource extraction, industrial production, and the welfare of its citizens.
The faction traces its origins to the final decades of Imperial rule in the southern reaches of the Outer Rim, when the Empire maintained an iron grip over BlasTech and its affiliated mining concerns through intimidation, forced labor, and military occupation. For decades, the workers who supplied the raw materials that fueled the Imperial war machine endured relentless exploitation before rising alongside regional leaders in open rebellion.
Yet it was not the workers' uprising alone that shattered Imperial dominance. In a calculated act of deception, the resistance forged a secret alliance with the Red Star Alliance (RSA). While Imperial authorities believed RSA to be a dangerous external threat, they funneled vast quantities of weapons and military supplies to local garrisons under the pretext of preparing for a major campaign against the organization. Behind the scenes, however, the apparent conflict was little more than an elaborate deception. The very weapons intended to destroy the Red Star Alliance were instead covertly transferred to the allied resistance, allowing the workers' movement and RSA to launch a coordinated offensive against the Empire. Caught completely off guard, Imperial forces were driven from the border systems, bringing an end to their rule across the region.
Following the victory, the Red Star Alliance was reorganized and renamed Rogue Squadron, cementing its place as a founding partner of the Rebellion. And together, the liberated industrial worlds and their allies established a sovereign allied state. The industrial assets reclaimed from Imperial control became the foundation of the Pentastar Alignment, which, through years of expansion, reform, and political evolution, would ultimately emerge as the modern Total Outer Rim.
Today, the Total Outer Rim has transformed from a collection of mining corporations into a unified industrial state whose economy is among the strongest in the galaxy. Its mines harvest rare ores, tibanna gas, and valuable minerals from dozens of worlds, while its refineries, factories, and orbital shipyards convert these resources into starships, machinery, civilian infrastructure, and military hardware. Every stage of production—from extraction to manufacturing—is carefully integrated, allowing the faction to remain largely self-sufficient and a major trading partner across known space.
Unlike many resource-driven powers, the Total Outer Rim recognizes that its greatest strength lies not only beneath the surface of its worlds, but in the people who work them. Significant investment is directed toward housing, healthcare, education, transportation, and industrial safety, ensuring that miners, engineers, scientists, and factory workers enjoy a high standard of living. Stable employment, technological innovation, and efficient logistics have created prosperous colonies across its territory, attracting skilled workers and entrepreneurs from throughout the galaxy.
The Total Outer Rim is also renowned for its commitment to unity among the diverse peoples of its territory. Humans live and work alongside Talz from Alzoc III, Mustafarians, Svivreni, Shistavanen, and countless other species native to its home worlds. Regardless of origin, every citizen is granted equal rights, equal opportunities, and equal representation under the law. This multicultural society has become one of the faction's greatest strengths, with each species contributing its unique skills, traditions, and knowledge to the prosperity of the state. The government actively promotes cooperation, mutual respect, and cultural preservation, ensuring that the many peoples of the Outer Rim stand together as equals in building a stronger future.
Protected by a capable defense fleet and sustained by an unmatched industrial base, the Total Outer Rim maintains a policy of economic strength through production rather than conquest. While fully prepared to defend its territory and trade routes, the faction seeks prosperity through commerce, technological advancement, and the responsible development of the Outer Rim's vast natural wealth.
Forged in resistance against the fanatical Imperial Union Acolytes and strengthened through rebuilding after the war, the Total Outer Rim stands as proof that industry, freedom, and prosperity can thrive together even on the galaxy's distant frontier.
