Risen up from Sun Guard and later what became the Eclipse Templars, after reflecting and realizing they had grown into more of a criminal organization the Emerald Ring was born. However, because they've never forgotten where they come from and because there were rumblings that another group has decided to start trying to use their name in order to make a name for themselves on the backs of their exploits, they have opted to return to their roots. As such, Sun Guard has returned but the group remains the same, just simply reclaiming their history and namesake.
Distinguished in the streets by their obnoxious emerald green colors in both garb and paint on their space vessels and planetary vehicles, they are a proud and often arrogant group. Despite their exterior of being brash enforcers, they are known to be fiercely loyal to those who will work with them as equals. However, if that trust is betrayed or someone gets in their way, they are known to be incredibly aggressive and pursue their grudges regardless of the cost.
Sun Guard's leadership, just like Emerald Ring is made up of two groups. One handles business and keeping the crime family profitable while the other the back alleys and streets of the more undesirable places in the galaxy.
Relatively reclusive, the group mostly operates on its own. It is however open to working with others as long as there is no personality clash with the enforcers, who tend to test the patience of others to the absolute extremes.
After spending many years working with allies who only sought to take advantage of their loyalty or treat them as attack dogs with deniability, they've grown weary of the one way alliances. As such they found a place that would respect their devote loyalty, aggression and willingness to do whatever it takes and match them in that regard. Thus they are now full fledged members of the galactic underground criminal organization known as Shadow Dominion, they have grown much larger in reach and influence than anyone ever thought possible.
